Mice Control in Buda, Kyle and San Marcos

Mice and Rat prevention

Mice are a common problem in Central Texas, especially in the  BudaKyle, and San Marcos areas, where the warm climate and growing suburban development provide plenty of food and shelter.

These rodents may seem small, but they pose significant risks to homes and businesses by contaminating food, chewing through wiring, damaging plumbing and spreading diseases such as hantavirus and salmonella.

Mice reproduce rapidly, with a single pair capable of producing dozens of offspring in just a few months, making infestations difficult to control once they take hold.

Their ability to squeeze through tiny gaps and hide in walls, attics, and crawl spaces makes DIY control methods like traps and baits only a temporary solution.

Without professional intervention to seal entry points and eliminate the infestation at its source, mice can continue to invade and cause costly damage to your property.

    1. What are mice?

Mice are small rodents that can invade homes and businesses in search of food, water, and shelter. While they may seem harmless, they reproduce quickly and can cause extensive property damage by chewing through wiring, insulation, and even structural materials. Mice also carry diseases such as hantavirus and salmonella, making them a serious health risk.

    2. How do mice affect my property?

Mice can cause significant damage by gnawing on walls, electrical wiring, and stored goods. They also contaminate food and surfaces with their droppings and urine, increasing the risk of disease. Because they reproduce rapidly, a small problem can quickly turn into a major infestation if not addressed promptly.

    3. How does Paladin Pest Control treat mice?

We use a comprehensive approach to mouse control that includes both trapping for active infestations and preventative services to keep them from returning. Our team starts with a thorough inspection to locate entry points and nesting areas. For current infestations, we strategically place traps and bait stations to eliminate mice quickly and effectively. We also provide or recommend exclusion services, sealing off gaps and openings to prevent future invasions.

    4. Are your treatments safe for pets and children?

Yes! We prioritize safety by using pet- and family-friendly trapping and baiting methods. Our technicians carefully place traps and bait stations in secure locations that minimize risk to pets and children. Our bait stations are locked and heavy to prevent tampering. Check out our mice control video for a demonstration of the bait boxes.

    5. How long does mouse control last?

The effectiveness of mouse control depends on the severity of the infestation and how quickly prevention measures are implemented. Trapping typically reduces the population within a few days to a couple of weeks. However, long-term control requires sealing entry points and ongoing monitoring to prevent new infestations. Our prevention services help ensure that once mice are gone, they stay gone.
